About the Liverpool Pakhtoon (Pashtun) Community
Rooted in heritage. United in community. Proudly part of Liverpool.
The Liverpool Pakhtoon Community, also commonly known as the Pashtun Community, represents people of Pakhtoon heritage living across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. Our presence in the city spans several decades, during which Pakhtoon individuals and families have contributed positively to Liverpool’s cultural diversity, local economy, and community life.
Pakhtoon culture is rooted in values such as respect, hospitality, integrity, and social responsibility. These values guide our community’s approach to family life, education, and engagement with wider society. While we proudly preserve our language, traditions, and cultural identity, we also strongly believe in integration, mutual respect, and collaboration within Liverpool’s multicultural environment.
Our Purpose
Our community exists to:
- Strengthen connections among Pakhtoon families
- Support youth, elders, and new arrivals
- Preserve and celebrate Pakhtoon culture and heritage
- Encourage education, dialogue, and positive social development
- Actively contribute to the wider Liverpool community
